It's been a busy few weeks for Bryan Singer. After it was recently reported that he had been signed up to replace Matthew Vaughn at the helm of the forthcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past, it has now also been confirmed that he is to develop and executive produce a reboot of the iconic TV series, The Twilight Zone, for CBS.
In a recent interview with Collider, Prometheus co-writer Damon Lindelof has confirmed that he will not be returning to pen the planned sequel to Ridley Scott's sci-fi epic. He also gave an explanation as to why he won't be returning, stating that he has "other stuff" to attend to before he can give up two years of his life again.
Fans of the excellent BBC series Sherlock can rest assured that the recent Hollywood success of Benedict Cumberbatch and his on screen partner in crime fighting Martin Freeman will not spell the end for the incredibly popular series.
A few on-set snaps have recently been released from Bennett Miller's Foxcatcher, the director's follow up to the incredibly successful Moneyball, which has been in production for several months now over in Pennsylvania. The first teaser trailer for next year's Star Trek Into Darkness has finally been released online today. After the incredible success of 2009's Star Trek reboot, there are big things expected of J.J. Shane Carruth will finally be following up his mind-bending 2004 time travel indie Primer with the equally intriguing looking Upstream Color. It was confirmed last week that Carruth's new film would premiere at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival and an intriguing teaser trailer has now been released to whet your appetites. Carruth himself will play the lead role in the movie with Amy Seimetz, Andrew Sensening and Thiago Martines also on board to appear.
